Pre-college programs are popular around the world for developing the highest caliber of young musicians in preparation for a career in classical music.
The M2 Program is designed to achieve those same goals but with an eye on the future. We are focused not solely on developing the musical skills of our young artists, but our program is centered on the belief that a robust and wholistic musical education can serve to complete a young person's education and character.
As we move into the future, the clear trend is that succeeding in the performing arts is not based solely around individual brilliance but rather on an individual's ability to collaborate and innovate. We believe that developing these skills serves young people extremely well- regardless of what career path they choose to ultimately take.
The M2 curriculum has been carefully designed to provide its young artists with the tools and experiences to succeed in the performing arts and beyond. We hope that you will join us in growing the young artists of the future.

The M2 program aims to provide its cohort with performance opportunities in the community, and aims to assist young artists in finding alternative and new venues for performance. M2 program participants will have a featured concert slot at the 2022 Buellton in the Park Festival where they will not only perform on their solo instruments but also as a group.
Be a professional before you become a professional. We teach our young artists all the rules and etiquette of the business and teach them about professional responsibilities. This way, our young artists can step into the industry already familiar with the inner workings.
We believe the best way to foster entrepreneurship is to try it. Our young artists are empowered to create their own programs and productions by seeing first hand how it's done. We will work them through all the inner workings of finances, logistics, need, audience reception, and help them to create their own work to be premiered at the 2022 Buellton in the Park Festival.
A key part of the curriculum is a focus on personal health and wellbeing. Young artists will be spoken to about mental and physical health, and will participate in fun, physical activities that will encourage them to stay active.
Music does not exist in a silo- we feel that it's important for young artists to be experience different artistic forms. Dance and Drama workshops will be provided as a part of the curriculum.
Young artists will have access to professional mentoring and career development guidance.
Ultimately, it is impossible to collaborate without mastering one's own craft. Young artists are expected to maintain private lessons in their chosen disciplines and to pursue excellence and appropriate advancement opportunities.
