Muffin Music in Schools

At Muffin Music, we believe strongly that the future of music lies in our youth. We believe that accessibility to high level music-making at a young age is crucial for sparking interest and developing musical literacy. In May 12-13, 2022, we began sending in our Teaching Artists into local schools across the Santa Ynez Valley as the very first step in our "Muffin Music in Schools" program. This included Santa Ynez Valley Union High School, Jonata Middle School, and Oak Valley Elementary School, where we will be presenting to nine different grade levels. Through pairing live performance with dedicated programming for each age level, we hope to share with young people the joys of music in the hopes that they can create their own musical futures.

Our Muffin Music Residency Program continues to be offered each year and we've expanded our outreach into both Solvang and Lompoc School Districts working with over 500 students during each residency.
